Just who do I think might possibly be interested in reading anything I have to say? Beyond my immediate family--siblings, offspring and spouse--I don't know that very many folks would have the time or inclination to explore a blog sponsored by me. So, why engage in this exercise? Well, over the years I have written a number of short pieces on various topic as I have felt inspired to do so. They are random, unorganized, and exist in a variety of places. My intent is to bring everything I have written onto one platform so that, at a minimum, it will be accessible should I happen to be called home. And, to the extent I can assign a date to the various pieces, it may provide some guidance in understanding the development of my thoughts.
I am not a scholar, and I will not pretend to present scholarly material. But I am not dumb. I studied political science in college, with a communications minor. I have a graduate degree in law, and grew up as a rather voracious reader. I have lived, worked, and studied overseas, and lived a life rich with experiences. Thus, while my insights might not be unique, those insights viewed in the context of a rather unconventional life might be of worth so someone someday. Then again, maybe not.
